We followed PaleoRob's driving directions, which worked out perfectly. From the end of the dirt road we hiked down into the canyon, headed east and quickly came to the first group of crushed cars. A guessing game ensued as to the reason or purpose for the cars being stacked there under Route 89. It was a great, short hike to start off our Utah road trip! From there we drove up Cottonwood Canyon Road (incredible scenery along the way) and stopped in at Kodachrome Basin State Park (countless spires). |
