| no partners | | Did the 7.7 mile counterclockwise loop, connecting with the gorgeous Willow Canyon trail back to the Waddell trailhead. What a beautiful and awesome introduction to the White Tanks.
I did have an encounter with a rude hiker and her two small dogs, only one of which was on a leash. The unleashed dog ran straight for me barking aggressively. I was very close to kicking it when it got close, which very well could have killed it or broken its ribs. I had to endure 1-2 minutes of it yip-yapping at me and coming close to biting me before the owner ran up and grabbed it. She said, "Sorry." I made no effort to hide my anger as I mustered out an annoyed "It's okay" and walked past her without looking at her face.
If you're a dog-owner, please show some courtesy to your fellow hikers if your stupid dog is out of control and doesn't know how to properly interact with strangers. I realize I'm probably preaching to the choir here, but I had to vent. |
