Saying that it is still a wonderful Az fall destination, speaking of which holey moley lots of people all over the place as far as camped. I didn't encounter anyone on the trail,(forgot seeing the backpacking group leaving, in my own little world apparently). I was seduced by the photos I had seen of the Aspen maple combo and since I haven't been to that part of the canyon in a few years did that. Cliffed myself out on getting the shots but then scooted down the canyon proper, going by some small sculpted rock tanks that did have some water. Some nice leaf litter in the bottom. Some hikers went by above me but no one noticed me I think. I was tired of the boulder hopping so my original intent I shelved for another time.
It was nice at Camp Chumley to see again and meet; Todd, Mark, Jon, Karl, Kathy, Lisa, Bob, Cass, Cass's S.O., Daisy and My Joseph. Great to glimpse JJ and Joe. Sorry if I forgot anyone. And the chair that was placed at my vehicle I relocated to Jon's truck, as it was not my camp chair and I figure if he's in Phoenix likely whoever can get it back easier. |
