My friend Sheryl wanted to do a hike today and had never been to Four Peaks. We started hiking about 10:30am. It was cold and breezy on the way up. Another party of four was starting the hike at the same time as us. We asked if they were going to the top and they said they were doing all four. Motherload I said? Yep! They said they were going to take the Amethyst Trail and do it starting with number 4. As we went up the cold windy chute all I could think of was, man I hope they don't get in over their heads and freeze. One was wearing shorts and a tee shirt and they didn't have much gear.

As for us, Sheryl seemed to enjoy the trip up and later said it was the hardest hike she had ever done.

As always the views from Brown's are fantastic! Food at La Casita in Globe on the way home.
