| no partners | | Was in the area this weekend, and decided to do this loop the morning of St. Patty's day. Really enjoyable hike, with lots packed in to less than 6 miles. After starting from the car, you reach the waterfall pretty quickly. The recent rains made the entire trail extremely lush and the falls were going strong.
After leaving the waterfall, the trail takes you to the ridge on the side of the mountain. The fog rolled in, providing some amazing views and the sensation you're hiking above the clouds. Eventually the trail continues to climb toward Goat Rock. Spotted some deer around this area.
The crazy weather continued, and it started hailing for the last several miles back to the car. Between the trees, falls, wildlife, and rock formations, I really enjoyed this trail. |
