| no partners | | Spent a weekend camping at Oak Flat campground. Noticed that there isn't a route yet from the campground to Devils/Gaan canyon, so I decided to record one.
The route from the campground to the edge of the canyon is all dirt roads, making for an easy hike. I wouldn't recommend driving it with a passenger car, however. The trail into the canyon is also easy to follow and not too steep.
The bottom of the canyon is pretty thick with foliage, so I didn't go much further, but there are likely unofficial trails in there somewhere. After getting out of the canyon, we meandered around Oak Flat until we wound up at the campground.
Overall a pleasant hike with great views. I'd like to explore this canyon more sometime.
