All access to the reservoir was closed, so we drove around on some of the forest roads. We stumbled across some of the Arizona Trail and the AZ Doppler station. I then decided to take FR300, along the rim, in search of a place to camp. When the views of the rim opened, I stopped to take a picture. I don't know why I pulled over, but I did. I didn't see anyone else all day, so the road was all mine. I ended up sliding my truck into the ditch full of snow.. It was my fault for not airing down my tires on the slick roads. Thats a lesson that wont be forgotten. I dug myself out, then headed to a campsite. |
