Mistakes where made...
1st mistake, I downloaded a GPS track from a non-haz site. I ended up hiking down into a ravine.
2nd mistake, I didn't bring as much water as I thought. I always carry over a gallon of water,when Im with my dogs. I brought about 1/2 that.
3rd mistake, I didn't use sunscreen. I started off wearing a jacket, so I didn't think twice about putting any on.

It was around 11:30am, when I realized I was very low on water and already sunburned. I was three miles from my truck, hiking in wide open country. I hiked one more mile, then hid behind a rock for 6+ hours. Once the sun was almost down, I started hiking out. Over all it was a great hiking experience , as long as I learn from my mistakes.
