| no partners | | | On our drive from Golden to Jasper on the Icefields Pkwy, we made quite a lot of stops and did a number of short hikes. If you ever visit Peyto Lake, definitely do not linger on the official lookout platform and wait for a hole among the hordes of tourists to stick your phone or camera through to take a pic of the lake. Continue another 1/3 mile along a faint dirt trail and it will lead you to a boulder filled clearing with few people (or no one when we got there!) where there's a much better view of the lake. |
