| no partners | | I arranged a two-tank boat dive (with Mad About Diving out of Uvita, CR) to visit Cano Island. I wanted to see for myself what this biological preserve had in store for us under water. The dive sites did not disappoint! Water temperature was about perfect, which was surprising being on the Pacific side. You could probably go without a wetsuit if you wanted. Clarity was even better, maybe 75 feet at times. No shortage of things to see either. Sharks patrolled the bottom while huge schools of grunts and snapper hovered around the rock pinnacles. The reef also had many surprises between the rock crevices.
Mad About Diving is a very professional operation, with a more family feel than some other shops I've been diving with in the past.
