| no partners | | When I started planning my trip to Spain months ago I definitely wanted to do some hiking of course. After a bit more research I discovered that Spain's highest mountain was on one of the Canary Islands and I couldn't resist a chance at climbing this one. I obtained a permit in advance and figured out as many details about the trail before getting there. Next thing I knew we were at the trailhead ready to take on this challenging trek, which was without a doubt the best part of my trip!
This one is not easy, the final three miles gain 3,300ft over rough lava rock and is completely exposed. Think three Piestewa Peaks back to back to back. The view is worth every ounce of that effort when you finally reach the peak so enjoy the climb! |
