| no partners | | | Snowshoed into the Govt Mineral Springs Guard Station Cabin and spent the night. Nice easy trek in through fresh snow. After dropping my gear at the cabin I took a brief stroll around the surrounding area to check things out. Had a nice peaceful evening sitting in front of the fire, listening to podcasts and reading a book. It snowed off and on overnight, erasing most of my steps from the previous day and leaving the forest blanketed in a fresh coat. Beautiful drive back to Portland, passed a small herd of Elk just north of Carson. |
