| no partners | | It's been just over ten years since I've been in the Mazatzal Wilderness. This one either just misses the boundary or barely crosses it.
This one turned out to be border line scorching hot. My error, I should have started earlier than 10am. Compounding the experience... Each step through the drying grasses released a bouquet of swarming gnats. The peak does have some nice views. However, I took a heavy gnat attack to get in all those views. Mainly as I wanted to write this one off as done. It's a good hike, but I wasn't feeling the urge to return anytime soon.
The drive up is nice. Once again it's not incredible like the Four Peaks or Rogers Trough drives.
Only came up with 4.55mi / 1466ft on the GPS. I'll have to map this one out once I get my Windows computer running. |
