| no partners | | Showed up around 4:30pm for the first hot hike of the season. Started up Javelina Canyon and really enjoyed the peacefulness. It seems to be the trail less traveled out of the trailhead. Only passed two mountain bikers and a trail runner before hitting the intersection with Ridgeline. Quite a few wildflowers still out and quite a few quail finding refuge in the quieter canyon. It was dry, a bit more rain in the next week or two and this canyon will be yellow again. The four crags on Ridgeline were less steep than they looked. Hustled down Beverly Canyon around 5:45pm and the people were out in droves. Nice sweaty hike, will have to bring the parents on this one. |
