| partners | | late start for both of us this morning
put a few twists on my usual figure eight from beverly canyon trailhead
first went up the ridge just west of beverly, then ridgeline and mormon loop
went up two peaks, then up to hidden valley
rather than return on a busy national trail, we dropped into the drainage between national and guadalupe ridge
i've always thought of this as lower hidden valley and went up that way once several years ago
fun drop with several large pour offs to negotiate
a lot more traffic in there than there used to be, with an actual trail at times
finished up on javelina
cool temps, very little wind, cloudy at times, but nice when the sun came out
everything was damp from yesterday's good rain
nice variety with good company
