Boy oh boy. Got to parking lot Friday night @ 9:00 pm. Slept in Jeep. Started hike around 5 am from East side to do whole loop. Nice hike on East side, started seeing people tho. A lot of them. Anyways camped at the beginning of the creek/stream aft 10 miles. Found a perfect little "island of trees" to camp. Set up, and not 30 mins later.. here comes 4 other backpackers. Guy literally told me that there were 2 camp spots so they are staying. 30 feet away. I am not a happy camper. It is what it is. Anyways rain pelted us all night, a lot of lightening lite up the tent. It was AWESOME. Woke up, the entire meadow was a rolling mist. Beautiful. The hike out was all along the creek/stream. So amazing. So blessed. Only thing was the 62 people we saw. ugh the C word. (covid)
