Much different than our usual caves like Bells and Onyx. It's like you're just wandering down a subway tunnel. Well, a subway tunnel floored with jagged sharp rocks.
Glad we went in the morning. The parking lot was filling up on our way out.
When we reached the back we just chilled since we had it to ourselves. Eventually we started playing with the flashlights and camera.
Checked out the hole in the back and checked out the holes at the beginning. Ice was kinda cool.
Before we left we s'plored a little in the passages that branched out in opposite direction (under the hiking trail). More what we're used to with squeezes, but a couple small rooms. Didn't go too too far. I did wonder just how thick the roof was (or how how thin the ground was), especially since there are some pine cones and branches poking through.
People seemed to be pouring in as we left. Even people hiking down the rocky slope with sleeping kids on their shoulders. Guess that's one way to protect your noggin. |
