| no partners | | | The trail north from the Sheep Gulch trailhead quickly intersects the CT/CDT for the stout climb up to Hope Pass. From there moderate off-trail (Class 2 / occasional easy Class 3) takes you directly up the east ridge to the 13,933' summit. Good views and none of the crowds like on all the slightly higher peaks in the area. You can return back down the ridge or drop south from the summit and then back west working down grassy slopes paralleling the ridge. |
