Road walk from Winfield through beautiful forest up into a desolate basin below the peak. The final several hundred feet to the summit was a bit icy but I was able to avoid using traction.

Driving to my next destination there was a road crew up ahead mowing the grass along the side of the highway. As I went past the mower BOOM my front passenger side window exploded, showering pieces of safety glass everywhere. The mower had kicked up a rock and sent it flying like a bullet, thank goodness I didn't have the window rolled down. So it was off to Pueblo to spend a day with the good folks at Safelite Auto Glass.
