| no partners | | | Camped near Jones Crossing for the week, my friend Richard and several of our and other friends children embarked on a hike from the end of forest road 122C that enters the forest off of AZ 87 right next to the service station at Clint's Well. After parking my suburban near the end of the road overlooking the lower end of willow valley, we started our half mile hike down to the actual rim of the canyon. Keeping a tight rein on the kids we approached the edge and spent about an hour in awe of the chasm that lay before us. To soon it seemed, we had to climb back out and get back to camp. |
