Tried to hike this the day before, but when we reached the intersection of 273 and 261, the whole big lake area was covered in smoke from the Boggy Creek fire (maybe the McDonald Tank fire too).

Today, the sky was clear above, just smoke to the south. Only ran into two other hikers, except for the very end.
