I explored the east end of the Camanche/Pardee Reserviors trail segment, accessed via Middle Bar Road off Highway 49 near the town of Jackson. Very nice single track sections in the rugged, rolling oak-covered hills along and above the Mokelumne River, with other sections following old ranch roads near Pardee. Lots of up and down between roughly 600' and 1200' elevations, quality trail construction, good signage, occasional river access and restrooms. Stay alert for ticks and poison oak. |
