| no partners | | Trying to get a good loop to hit the Red Mountain Rush, was going to like the following for about a 10 mile loop:
1. RiverView
2. Mine
3. Sunset Ridge
4. Red Moutain Rush
5. Wild Horse
Unfortunatly, we seem to have missed out turn onto the Sunset Ridge, so ended up doing a loop at the base of Red Mountain:
1. RiverView
2. Mine
3. Twisted Sister
4. Big Sister
While all of these trails are frequented by bikes, didn't see anyone on RiverView, then met 3 different hikers on Mine, and no one on the Twisted Sister section we did until the intersection of Twisted Sister and Big Sister. Seems that the Twisted Sister to Big Sister loop is very popular for bikers, we have a half dozen bikers pass us on the Big Sister section.
Wouldn't recommend this hike. None the less, I will post this loop since this area is not documented well for hiking. Will have to try again for the loop on Red Mountain later. |
