| no partners | | It was a great adventure with a group of 5 of us - Brian, Dave, Jim, and Lonnie. We hiked to the natural arch and it was enjoyable for me the entire way. When following the arrows, there's a downhill climbing portion right before the arch that requires some concentration and focus. But once beyond that the views of the arch were quite rewarding. Next time we may skip the final rock climb and just go around the West side to the peak. We found and signed a registry at the high point before the arch. There were only about 5 names since 2017. I believe there was a registry here because most hikers/climbers don't continue past that point of the rock climb. There were arrows routing above the arch but it felt too dangerous to go that way.
Brian made it all the way to the peak taking the "non-climbing route" down the chute to the West of the natural arch and said there was a registry at the top with a few names. I would have went to the peak also but we were running low on time. We'll try again some other time. But, really fun day! |
