| no partners | | A great out and back hike. The first mile starts on a moderate incline on the West Loop Trail (which is a dirt road) then onto and up a cow trail.. @10 minutes on a fairly steep hill then down the other side to join the well traveled Brushy Peak Loop Trail. Except for a couple of shady spots, the trail is mostly exposed to the Sun. There's a restroom but because of covid restrictions, no potable water at the Staging/Parking Area and none on the trails.
Outside of 2 short breaks + a couple dozen brief pea & photo breaks, I averaged 22-23 min per mile. |
