| no partners | | | A few weeks back I caught sight of some cool rock figures on the interwebs. One photo had a background mountain shot that gave me a good idea about where it was. But searching GE was not getting me anywhere, so I sent photos to Hansenaz and Petrophile and they both sent tracks. So easy peasy , we take a day off and spent a wonderful day wandering a very beautiful desert. Which is what we reminded ourselves of when we realized that our objective was not going to be met. No cell service for GE out there meant when we get home let's see how close we were. 350 yards. Deb says it usually takes us three tries, but this time I'm going for 2 or I turn in my man card. Located what we were looking for right away and now to find a second cross/star a 1/4 mile away. That turned out to be futile also so I sent the bug up to have a look see. Yep 200 feet away. On GE if one draws a line connecting the man to the cross/star by him and then to the other star they line up. But when you are at the second star there is no line of sight because of a ridge. |
