stopped at betty's pies for breakfast and pie to go
wanted a hike, so chose split rock from a number of state parks along the way
little two harbors trail along the lakeshore, with a view of the lighthouse
then day hill trail up to a high point overlooking lake superior
continued to corundum overlook
got caught in a little shower, so we finished on the gitche gami bike path
it would be fun to visit more of the state parks
the entire drive is beautiful
the superior hiking trail has several access points along the north shore
stayed at the outpost motel, which i highly recommend
fish tacos in grand marais for dinner and some rock collecting on the shoreline  |
