Sure enough there it was in the water right in front of me as I got out of my car. Seeing as the sun was not quite up yet I only snapped a few photos before heading over to get some photos of one of the Bald Eagles sitting on a pole on Hayden Road. I snapped off a bunch of pics then headed back over to the parking area and got some more of the Grebe now that the light was better. After snapping a bunch of photos I headed through the park and as luck would have it for the first time in a long while I saw a male Vermillion Flycatcher. I followed him around until he flew off. I then popped over to SCC to check on the Burrowing Owls. The weather was nice and the sky was beautiful, a great morning. |
