It took me a couple weeks, but I finally found time to grab my first hike of 2009! Cathedral Rock has been at the top of my girlfriend's to do list, and it turned out to be super sweet! I was kind of expecting it to be overrated, and it far surpassed my expectations. At nearly every two steps was plethora of photo opportunities, fortunately my girl brought her Canon SD1100 along. Met a friendly and knowledgeable volunteer ranger at the top, which is always a good encounter! I just hope they finish the construction on the 179 soon so it's not such a hassle to get to the trailhead...
