What an outstanding hike! Climbing to the center of this Arizona icon gets a 5 rating from me. It's short but still gives a workout. I went to the ledge, then explored along the cliff face to the south. Skies were dull and overcast, but it actually worked out well for photos. I can't wait to go back!

mental notes from Sedona:
Back O'Beyond Road was being repaved, requiring a twisting detour through outrageously expensive looking neighborhoods, where a wee bit of "suburban off-roading" became necessary when passing oncoming traffic was not possible

I would guess that Coconino NF would be rolling in dough from the Red Rock Pass...but they are probably "broke"!
