When the clouds reduced I went for a hike out and back through the "blast zone". Incredible wildflowers there. Dramatic gullies with dry braided streams. A few waterfalls pouring out of the crater. I saw goats high on a slope. A nice trail with lots of up-and-down through gullies but overall gentle grades. Little and considerate enough traffic that the trails were still narrow and meadows unscarred. |
