It's still not even close to making my favorites list. Because the views... basically bite.(hey I'm entitled to my own opinions too!) However, the weather was AWESOME and I love the steady push.
Those false summits never go away, I was suckered in again
It's pretty cool to wake up to 85 degrees in the valley. Drive up to flag, hike Humphreys... it was SNOWING! in June! Nothing stuck, but it was almost white out conditions for a while
Sorry to the two gals I urged to just keep pluggin on. I think they got poured on, I'm so bad
BTW... forget signing the summit log anymore. This place has turned into the valleys version of Piestewa. The box was crammed full. I wouldn't be suprised if somebody used a shirt tag for paper
The trail is in excellent condition. There's little chance of losing the trail on the peaks anymore. It's all signed now. Did I mention there was a LOT of people... whewee! |
