Ended up being a 2 ride day. Went out to check out some sandy two track jeep roads to the base of the Estrella Mountains. When I returned home I discovered I had lost my Garmin GPS watch somewhere out on the trail. Retracing my ride in reverse I went back out and actually found my watch! I did have a good idea where it could have been ripped off by the bushes lining the sandy two track. Since the crown is just crazy soft sand, you end up riding in the tracks and getting beat up by the overhanging bushes. Fun to ride something different. Glad I didn't take the gravel bike, would have been awful in the sand.
