We began work on the Murphy Trail Thursday finding it overgrown and a little on the warm side with temps getting over 80 degrees. We saw two deer and a wild turkey on the drives in and out, and we had a nice song from a black headed grosbeak on the hike out. The trail is mostly clear down to what's left of the wilderness sign, so we still have a ways to go to get clear down to the rim trail.
