| no partners | | On a day trip to Montenegro, we stopped to take a boat out to Our Lady of the Rocks--a tiny islet in the Bay of Kotor on which a church was built. According to legend, the islet was made over the centuries by local seamen who kept an ancient oath after finding the icon of Madonna and Child on the rock in the sea[2] on 22 July 1452. Upon returning from each successful voyage, they laid a rock in the Bay. Over time, the islet gradually emerged from the sea.
Wouldn't pay for the boat ride over and back again. Just admire from the shoreline. |
