I was looking for a hike in West Sedona, and as is usual these days, finding a parking spot at any trailhead can be a challenge. I went to Sugarloaf Trailhead first but it was full. Went to Adante Trailhead and there was one spot left.

I didn't have water for a long hike, so I set my sights on Chimney Rock saddle via the Chimney Rock Trail. It's a moderate ascent but I was taking a lot of photos so it was slow going for me. Pretty good views to the north toward Ship Rock and Steamboat Rock.

At the saddle, social trails split off so I took one up to the base of Chimney Rock. Nice views to be had to west toward Bear Mountain, Doe Mountain, and the Cockscomb, and south of the town of Sedona itself.

For most it would be a quick hike to great views. A lot of bang for your buck, and lots of room for further exploration with the social trails splitting off and the broader network of trails interconnecting.
