Thanks to a post from Sid Hayes... I was able to find the place, but didn't see one sign that said "Warrior Trail" on it. I did see the first marker post which read "Ma-Ha-Tauk", so
I went for it.

At the train head, there was a very nice parking lot and a water fountain that worked just fine. I was the only one there, so I figure most people are smart enough to stay away from these trails during the HOT weather. (But I never claimed to be smart...)
I started up the trail heading south and really enjoyed the locations of the "look-out" locations at each of the Marker Posts. The trail itself doesn't look to intimidating but the footing is pretty loose at times.

After a while the trail turns left or East and starts to wrap around the mountain. The scenery was very nice and today was blessed with a nice breeze.

I didn't see many critters at all but was very surprised at the number of birds that let me approach without flying away. They just sat on the trees chirping away! (Probably wondering what in the blankety-blank I was staring at...) Oh well, I enjoyed the company!
As the trail wraps around East... it's starts to head down a little bit. That's when I ran into Marker Post #22 for the Max Delta Loop. I was a little confused as to where the Warrior Trail actually ended because I didn't reach a peak of any type.

I continued on for about a minute or two and then headed back. Oh yeah, remember the loose footing I mentioned earlier? Well, I figured that today would be a great day to lose some "Cool Points" and slipped on the way down the trail... landing on my BUTT-TOCKS!
In conclusion, the trail was nice... especially for a quick morning hike. I'll be back though... so that I can figure out exactly how this trail ends & meets up with others.
Take care,
