| no partners | | | Solid lasso route in an area of Yosemite I hadn't been to, thanks to chumley and John9L for the inspiration. Up from Wawona, did the loop clock-wise with a direct climb to BV Peak (Class 2) from the west side of BV Lake. Still pretty green and enough water to keep hydrated and cool, good trails except for one stretch of pretty bad overgrowth and downed trees in an old burn zone. Saw as many bears (4, a solitary black-hair and a brown-hair momma with two cubbies) as backpackers. |
