| partners | | today's choice was a hike to stevens lakes and possibly stevens peak
the trailhead is not far off I90, near the town of mullan
we got going around 0800 going uphill mostly along willow creek
checked out a mine
one big switchback on a talus field
we spotted a waterfall and dropped down to get a closer look
arrived at lower stevens lake and explored along the shore
very scenic with several campsites
made our way to upper stevens lake
we realized going to stevens peak would be a full day commitment and since we wanted to do another hike in the area, opted not to
back downhill with a break at the lower lake
actually saw three hikers, then three cyclists at the trailhead
linda hadn't done this hike, so nice for all of us to see something new |
