| partners | | | On the 14th we hiked along the First Creek Trail. This is a 2 mile hike in the Red Rock Canyon area just west of the park. About 2 miles in the trail ends where the canyon walls close in. I suppose you could go in further but it would be a bushwhack and rock scramble. Joshua Trees along the lower portion of the trail. No running water but pools along the creek in the upper canyon. During the wet seasons there are some water falls in this area. Did see 4 burros on our return trip. They were kind enough to let us photograph them. Amazing view of the mountain ridge along the west side of Red Rock Canyon. |
