| partners | | On the third day in Silver City we headed back to Fort Bayard and hiked the Dragonfly Trail. This is a 3.7 mile hike to some petro glyphs of a dragonfly. We took a couple other trails in the area for a total of 8 miles. The trail follows along the Twin Sisters creek and if continuing north will end up in the Big Tree area. The trail continues on to Twin Sisters Peak and the Continental Divide Trail.
We started the hike in early morning when the temps were a bit cooler but by noon it was pretty warm. The recent rains had everything pretty green. Will have to come back here in the fall or spring to hike some of these trails. |
