The weather today was partly cloudy, and a nice temp somewhere in the 50's (I expected colder), we got started about 11:15 AM. My dog and I followed Bell Trail to the creek near Bells Crossing. We hung out there for a while so the dog could get his swim on (and also scare the s*** out of me when he almost ran off a 20 foot cliff into the creek).
After his swim (and my lunch) the dog had more energy than ever, and he forced a painful pace all the way back to the trailhead.
Saw a handful of people and a handful of dogs.
I'm really looking forward to doing this again once Spring hits that the flowers come up. This would also be a good one with swimming in mind during the warmer months (it would be work getting to the swimming when it's hot). |
