We still found it to be a wonderful area with lots of interesting formations and vistas, providing a good challenge with the steep elevation of the trail. It is curious to see the forest healing post fire and then imagine what was prior and how the species progress in the evolution. There was snow and red blazing maples up in the saddle; literally the high point of the hike. Afterwards we walked downstream on the creek to get back to the car which was parked just south of the campsite. Another great Thursday! |
