My wife Lynn and I took a 734 mile return (367 mile one-way) day trip to deliver birthday and xmas presents with the Lutheran Navajo Mission (see http://www.nelm.org/ ). Unlike last year (see http://hikearizona.com/photoset.php?ID=6659 ), 2 vehicles were required to transport the gifts. It's great to see the local Esperanza Lutheran Church working with the local schools to "expand" the program.  Thanks to Yvette and Rev. Lynn and others at the Mission for their help with the unloading.
Some "challenging" weather restricted the photo ops, but did get a couple of chances to explore and scout out some locales for some future visit... |
