We did an out and back hike on the White Domes Loop Trail. Fun, easy trail but it was scorching hot in the late afternoon. Saw a few longhorn sheep on the drive in. For a small park, this place has a very impressive visitor's center. I wish GCNP's VC had even half as much info and displays as this place.
We hiked through a section that was used as a filming location for the 1966 western The Professionals. If you watch the movie, it's the part where they kill 10 Indians and a horse and bury their bodies. |
