10 mile loop around Saguaro NP and up to Bridal Wreath Falls after the winter storm. Fair amount of water coming over the falls. Fresh snow on the mountain tops. Cool day and a little breezy.

This is an old abandon trail that heads east from the current Bajada Vista Trail near the junction of the Garwood and Wildhorse trails. This trail climbs up the hill to the east and follows along the ridge along the southern side of Upper Bajada Wash and connects with the Carrillo Trail near Bajada Wash and the junction of the new Carrillo Trail and the old (now abandon) Carrillo Trail. The Three Tanks Trail just to the south serves the same purpose of this trail.
This trail is now abandon and is not part of the park trail system.

From Speedway Trail head. Wildhorse Trail to Three Tanks Trail, Three Tanks to Carrillo Trail to The old abandon Bajada Vista Trail. Bajada Vista Trail to Wildhorse Trail and return to Douglas Spring Trail via the Converse Trail. These are excellent hikes for when you just want to get out for a short walk and don't want to drive too far (I live on East side of town). Not a recommended summer hike except in very early morning or late evening.

Took an evening hike to watch the sunset. Ended up staying out past dark and walking back with my headlamp.

When I was walking along the road to get back to my truck I encountered some spider marching along the road with near military precision. There were two groups of them: each about 2 feet long marching in perfect straight lines, headed due west. I have never seen anything like it before and the only thing I could think of was in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets when Harry & Ron follow the spiders that are fleeing the castle to Aragog and learn that Slytherin's Monster is a Basalisk :scared: . And thats when I realized I have read Harry Potter too many times...

Evening run thorough SNP as the sun set. It was a windy day so the air was full of dust which helped make the sunset a little more intersecting. Saw 3 deer and a young coyote on the trail.

Short run started from the Wildhorse Trailhead. Started at 11:15 with temperature around 95 and very sunny. Had the trail all to myself.

Went for a run from Broadway trailhead. Didn't really know how long of a run my legs were up for, so I just took off with no real destination in mind. It was nice and cloudy out for most of the time I was on the trail, I even had a couple small showers. Ended up running from the Broadway Trailhead, south to Loma Verde Trailhead, back north to Douglas Spring Trailhead, then swung south to Pink Hill and worked my way back to where I started. I think I covered nearly every trail between Speedway & Cactus Forest Drive!

Middle of the day run while the thermometer read 99 degrees outside- I had the trailhead & the trails all to myself. Ran Douglas Spring Trail to Carrillo Trail, down Three Tanks, then followed Bajada Vista to Shantz Trail, backtracked to Creosote trail, and returned along the Stock Bypass.
