The hike down was easy but hurt the toes due to breaking in new hiking shoes and stepping on lots of rocks. The first two miles went fairly quickly but the next two had to be taken slower being a little more steep. Crossed many people on the way out asking "how much further???".
At the bottom there many groups of people, I thought I was at Disneyland for a second. It was a neat sight seeing the springs flow straight out of the ground. Would have taken more pictures but there were so many people it was hard to find a secluded spot for an unabstructed view. Just past the main pool we found a nice spot with few people around and had lunch and took a nap. Started out and the hike up was a little streneous for the fact that daylight was fading fast and the pace had to be quickened, but it made for some nice photos of the sunset. Would like to come back sometime during the week and spend more time exploring at the bottom. |
