My husband and I hiked up Flat Iron in 2.15. What a climb. My legs were burning. Next time I will bring gloves for descent. Return 1.5 hours.

Rode two different loops equaling 8 miles. San Tan to Moonlight trail was a great ride on the bike.

I finally was able to go on this hike. This has been one of my favorites. Mostly due to the amazing view at the top of Weavers Needle. The view from that spot has to be one of the prettiest I've seen yet in the area.

What a beautiful little hike. I enjoyed every minute of this. It is a pretty easy trail, so for those who have not done much hiking it is perfect. We were awarded with water in the pools today. A perfect perfect hike if you don't have much time but want to see what the Sonoran Desert has to offer.

My 8 year old daughter and I hiked this and had a great time. Especially when we started to climb up the hill as she loves to hop around on the boulders. The only downfall where all the bees as she is afraid of bees. Other than that, great views from the top, short and fun for the kids. :)

I walked the main loop trail and took my time looking at all the plants, trees and cactus. I was impressed with the Native Australian Garden. The Gum trees were incredible. An amazing place to learn about plants.

This is the first time I had been to the Piestewa Peak Rec Area. I enjoyed the loop hike and am wanting to do the peak next.

This was my first outing since moving to Phoenix. A nice easy hike that I was able to take the girls on and have them enjoy.

My husband and two girls came with me on this hike. We hiked down to the bottom, carrying my youngest in the backpack. My other daughter enjoyed the pools at the bottom. We did not hike completely thru the bridge as is was a tad slippery while trying to carry my daughter on our backs. Beautiful place!!!
