| no partners | | We attempted to hike Humprey's Peak, the tallest point in Arizona, today. We ended up hiking for a total of 5 hours, but we never made it all the way to the top. We aren't sure just how close we got: we really couldn't see very far in front of us due to the extreme weather. Although we were pretty well prepared: lots of food, water, warm clothes, hats, and even rain ponchos, we were not prepared for the extremely cold and windy conditions. It ended up getting into the 30s plus very strong winds, rain and fog - felt much colder! We decided not to be too foolish, so we turned back after getting a little too wet and too cold. |
