Took the kiddo and dog. Dog was dragging me around and the kiddo cut his toe on something so sadly had to cut it short. Not all was lost, we met up some really great folks and spend the rest of the day in the park and had the creek pretty much to ourselves.

Dog and kiddo slept the whole way home.

Will try again soon!

Kiddo and the dog camped at Ft. Tuthill. Wasn't planned, but worked out to be a great Fathers Day. Lots of pines for this desert dweller to enjoy :D

Took my son-in law that was visiting from out of state for a taste of the good life here in the North West valley.

2HIKERZ, I saw that trail starting to sneak North, we ran out of light, but was thinking of seeing where it went :D

After my hike on Baldy Mountain last week, I wanted to get back out there and take on Governor's Peak, but heavy rain was the forecast. I had my teenage neighbors with me and didn't want to put them in harms way, so decided on Walkin' Jim.

Very very nice out walk indeed. I saw some rock carvings on a large bolder in the wash. They didn't look ancient, but neat none the less.

I wanted to do the whole thing but the teens were not digging the wet and cold. I told them to come prepared. haha.

I would like to do this again when the sun is out.

First off, Thank You to 2HIKERZ for blazing the trail!

This morning I was suppose to go with a friend who has been bugging me to go for a hike. He called and said "It was to early." lol. I was really wanting to go, so I left work early and got to the trail head at 4pm.

As a novice hiker, this kicked my butt at the top.

Awesome views. Love the history. Great hike! Glad I went.

6:30AM start. It rained yesterday so no smog and dust. Great views of downtown, South Mountain, White Tanks, Hieroglyphics, Bradshaws, and more. Was a great morning to be outside.

With the new year I was set to make hiking these great trails a way of life. I started out close to home. This was a lot of fun. Great views from the top. Hope to do it again soon!
